When you argue against health care reform you like to tell us that in fact everyone can get health care and it's the best in the world. Make up your mind.

There is no inconsistency. This country has the best health care in the world. Period. But we also have a shortage of physicians -- particularly, in primary care -- that threatens future services.

The development of physicians to serve a population is a very long-term affair, potentially affecting multiple generations over decades. Not only does the number of physicians have to be managed, the allocation of physicians amongst a plethora of specialties is critical, else you end up with insufficient primary care and too many oncologists or surgeons. It is a complicated problem.

The unintended consequences of getting "reform legislation" wrong are potentially quiet huge. And Harry Reid is drafting this legislation in a back room without one word of input from anyone with a view that is contrary to his.

I think you're stupid for tolerating it, let alone for supporting it.
