Hmm, did the problem started with the last administration? Sarman.. we spent close to $800 billion on TARP under Bush and Paulsen.. THEN OBAMA SPENT OVER $1 TRILLION MORE on his stimulus programs. Listen.. TARP "may" have been useful during the credit freeze, but it's certainly done very little to create business lending. Do you know why? I suspect because none of that TARP money went to shoring up the financial surety sector, a sector mangled by the deceit and fraud perpetrated by the big banks. AIG was the only one bailed out because letting it go would mean tremendous losses for Goldman and the European banks. So while I can "forgive" the intent of TARP, I think it was just a hand-out for the big banks and their bonuses, and that without support for the companies involved in the REGULATED business of insuring financial risk, we're STUCK in an economic downturn. This administration has done VERY LITTLE, if anything about the danger of Credit Default Swaps, which act as unregulated "insurance products". CDS's are extremely susceptible to financial manipulation where people taking out insurance against a financial product actually have a vested interest in committing "arson" by destroying (naked shorting) the instrument they are insuring against. Even George Soros (who I normally despise) is right about CDS derivatives. And Paul Volker, who Obama has put in exile, has railed against CDS abuses. The middle class is being destroyed. Well.. I don't see you providing any solutions. All you ever do is complain and point at false causalities as your "boogie men".. What do you mean defending this country when we invade other countries? Defending mean you prevent the enemy from entering not waging a war outside your borders. No.. I mean destroying/neutralizing a avowed enemy where ever they may be located SO THEY NEVER GET THE CHANCE to bring the war to our country. Facists are Facists.. Nazis are Nazis.. Jihadists are Jihadists. I don't care where they are located. What I care about is what they believe and what they publicly stated to the world as their agenda. And if they threaten this country with destruction, they have made an enemy of us and it's time to pursue the "big stick". And we keep using that "big stick" until they recognize that it's time for an "attitude adjustment". Hawk
