Apparently, they just thought insurgents would be too dumb to intercept the video! Just another example of American arrogance and underestimating adversaries biting us in the ass. It seems like encrypting and decrypting with the ability to change the scheme when needed would have been a very low cost no-brainer. Osama knows EXACTLY where we're looking for him.
