We just got a new AIM Mail Center. It has a few rental boxes, has copying and binding services, packaging services, and you can ship with UPS, Fed Ex, and USPS. It costs a little more to ship USPS than it does at the Post Office if you don't count the cost of driving five miles to the post office and five miles back.

I know of lots of places where USPS might be vital, but to be honest I was surprised when I was sitting in my brother's elk camp to see a UPS truck drive by. It's fifteen miles up the road from one of the tiniest post offices I've ever seen.

These people do not understand the law of unintended consequences. They want to 'save the environment' so they outlaw junk mail and other features of our economy that they don't like. Their actions are the equivalent of blowing up a coal fired power plant.

The USPS is just more proof that the gov't cannot compete with private business even when they have an unfair advantage.
