Conversion in prison is probably begins as a defense against rape. Bet they don't go after a Muslim brother. Why do we tolerate a lot of things in prison? Probably because they are tools for the state to control the folks in there. And to cow the rest of us out here into toeing the line.

I would expect the majority of these prison converts to be black and the Nation of Islam prosletyzing them in the prisons as are many Christian orgs. This would be allowed because the US was founded under the premise of freedom of religion and that pertains to all citizens and all religions. I think you need to get by the headlines and news. I live in a muslim society and 95% of the people are nice people. Yes their customs are different but they are just like you and I in wanting a good life and to be able to support their family. There is a minority that have perverted the religion for political reasons and that is what you hear about. Dont mix the two and think all muslims are bad. Neil
