Not all 90 year olds are the same, which is the reason you need a physician, NOT a bureaucrat, to make the decision.

You need a physician and an informed patient to make the decision about whether surgery is the best way to go. Paying for it is another matter entirely. I submit that the physician is not the best judge of that, unless he's paying for it, of course. <g>

correct, my mom had one at 86, the doc asked her what she did in her live. She's very active plays bridge 5 days a week, travels to Europe 2-4 times a year, will train up to NY for the weekend to see some plays. The Doc said you are still very active, I recommend you get it.
