Well at least you will reduce it 9% with a move to Florida. But retiring or giving up your US citizenship and moving maybe be something to consider, you are paying one hell of a premium for being American. I can vouch for the bargains in Florida and the winters are great, played tennis yesterday in perfect weather but the summers are gruesome, hot and humid. If you plan to live here full time I'd suggest getting a place near the Ocean where you will at least get some breeze. The further inland you go the hotter and wetter and more bugs. East coast better than the west coast IMHO.
