John I asked this same question and until I find and answer I cancelled my Netflix subscription. I know that Samsung is proprietary and one must buy a little gadget from them to attach to their blu ray player... It's about seventy five bucks.

Also a gadget called HOKU is a box that will do the same thing and it is about five bucks more. A friend who was here this Holiday uses it.

NF will stream to your computer but to get it to stream right to the TV is involved and being illiterate about gadgetry...
I have postponed doing anything UNTIL I get feed back that I can follow.

The Geek who was here made it sound so simple.. and unless it is written down and penetrates my old brain I am fearful.

You might try the computer club site for info. too.

Maybe we can solve this together. Google HOKU however.

We stream Netflix movies on our HDTV using a wireless laptop with HDMI. Works amazingly well. I expected some internet buffering and pixilation but the movies we have watched stream very well.
I do know you can also get hardware to stream Netflix, but we went the laptop route. Handy since we also watch lots of other video/movie/TV files on the HDTV set using the HDMI cable. For example a buddy loaned me some CDs with several seasons of 'The Practice' as .avi files. They look great on the TV using the laptop.

At this point, I'd probably drop cable if my better half would agree. But she's not ready to let it go, yet.
