The problem for AMD and Cyrix has been that they been losing money while providing this "value" to their customers. So the only way for AMD and Cyrx to compete is to sell product below cost? Looks like intc building a new base in the 70's. Imo fundies and long term holders loading up. Gary

<For the same amount of money, you can buy more performance with AMD (or Cyrix) chip. You don't have to be Intel hater to realise that. Just a smart shopper.> If you want the highest performance Jozef, you can't buy it from AMD or Cyrix at ANY price. Same thing with SMP and AGP. EP

As a result, Cyrix had to unload themselves on the first company that would nibble. That is the only saving grace for Cyrix. As for AMD, Sanders still has his chauffeur and limo, houses in San Francisco and Bel Air. Everything is just fine with AMD. Paul
