HDMI... HMDI.. something like that. Check it out.

It's HDMI, ML. And your friends are right. Much better picture. We bought two: one for the cable box to TV connection and a second for the DVD player TV connection.

Now a days a lot of consumer electronics, including your PC and laptops come with HDMI out for better picture/sound to take advantage of HD such as 1080p on your TV.. Different connector and cable..

Incidentally, there are a lot of high priced HDMI cables being sold out there such Monster cable etc.. You do not really need the high end.. You will find a 5-10 dollar HDMI cable do as good a job as Monster's $ 50-100 cables..
