here is some H&Q stuff:

Intel Corp (INTC) 77: Hambrecht & Quist cuts issue to "hold" from "buy," citing
companies lack of presence in the sub-$1000 PC market. However, stk currently
indicated 1 pt higher, supported by the bullish tone of the market this morning.

Tom,you ain't kiddin' !
HQ would rather have us buy the crappy tech stocks they underwrite instead of the bellweather tech stocks such as intel, msft et all,i guess no money in it for them. The more people they encourage not to buy these stocks, the more people they to buy the crap they promote.

>>H&Q lowers INTC to a hold<<

Did anyone see H&Q lower their earning estimate numbers for the coming Q's and FY's? I didn't.

If H&Qs didn't change their estimate numbers, then I translate their downgrade as "I want INTC, everyone hold/stop buying, so I can load up INTC inexpensively"

Cheers,

Xy

Tom, I don't think these firms work for the little guys. I wish more people would learn that.

They sometimes get their big clients out first.

To all, good luck investing. Hold, if you can.
