Not to mention numerous studies and surveys demonstrating that the media is populated by a great preponderance of liberally minded folk.

The majority of those people were centrists. They just seem "liberal" to YOU because of your extreme right wingnut stance on everything but abortion. From where YOU are, they are left.

We don't have a "liberal" MSM. We have a CORPORATE-OWNED MSM, driven by the bottom line. If the country is headed in a direction that threatens that, as it was finally revealed to be in the Bush years, the MSM is against it. If corporate America begins to feel threatened by Obama, they'll turn on him as well.

If we had a "liberal" MSM, we'd have communists and socialists on the Sunday shows talking THEIR systems!

The MSM never criticizes our bloated military, because our bloated military serves global corporate interests. We only manage a little freedom here because, as with individuals, corporate ownership and interests differ and aren't uniform.

I'm not saying that corporations are evil, because they are not. Corporations are artificial entities that exist for profit. They are made up of people, but the faces change, and the people are just components of the corporation. The people may delude themselves that the corporation "cares" for them, but it does so only as much as the people produce excess profit beyond their own slice.

Corporations run our government now. They decide who will be the candidates, and one or the other coalition of corporations "win", based on the number of voters persuaded.

I don't watch TV any more. But, when I did, the Sunday shows rarely, if ever, had real liberals. Most did a good job of spouting right wing talking points.

But, even if what you claim is true, where is the liberal bias in 'hard' news? Opinion is one thing, and even then it isn't quite what you try to portray.
