If I could get an offer for $5000 Gosh....With cultural adventures that flow day and night....to elevate your senses and refresh your spirit. you'd think everybody would be in line for one. <g> If you need/want to get out from under the burden try for $500. I've never even thought about looking at a timeshare. I couldn't ever see me going to the same place for 'vacation' more than once or maybe twice. I did have a co-worker in the early 80's that bought a week at Snowbird Resort in Utah. It was during Oktoberfest and he really liked to drink beer. He seemed happy at the time...dunno whatever happened to him/it. And yes...your gov't healthcare analogy seems to be apt.
