If Yuan takes out old high of Feb '94 (1 USD=8.69 CNY) thats about 28% of a gain from here against greenback.

They must think gold will appreciate more than 28% then, otherwise if USD gold stays at $1125 for example, in CNY terms it will be an equivalent drop to $830, if CNY takes out that old high in the next USD downleg
