Absolutely agree. Though if it does, there will be a left populism along with this right populism and the two will, likely, be distinct only at the margins. The first, right populism, tends to be more ethnic/nationalist grounded. Patriots/treason/etc. are dividing words. The left tends to be more economically focused in which rich/poor and Wall Street/Main Street become the dividers.
