Killing of any kind, be it in the name of a God or in the name of revenge is morally reprehensible. Why? If you have no belief in a hereafter, a deity, or a soul, why shouldn't the "Alpha male" prevail? The strong should prevail and survive to pass on their genetic traits, right? Anything less makes our species weaker and decreases our ability to survive and adapt to natural climatic and tectonic disasters, right? Bestowing equal rights to a weaker representative of the species dilutes the entire gene pool, right? The basis of "Inalienable Rights" as specified in the US Declaration of Independence REQUIRES the belief in a deity for that are "natural" or "god-given" rights. Otherwise, any rights a human being has are only those which other men/women have permitted them to possess. Hawk

Until then, the tribes which didn't have lots of children to enable conquest of neighbouring tribes, genocide, and further expansion, were not long for this world. It was only 30,000 years ago that the bloke who was the ancestor of ALL non-Africans came out of Africa and defeated all those males who had gone before, leaving none = all extinct. He didn't do that single-handedly. He did that with talent, skill, and LOTS of breeding and descendants. Genghis Khan did okay in the breeding stakes too, in a similar way, but the other bloke still has the numbers. Mqurice
