Well, tejek, it's because every time I put my vote behind a party that seems passionate about something enough to get a problem solved, they disappoint me. Look at the Health bill. It's a watered down mess. Another thing I like about the GOP is this. They did give two shits about reaching across the aisle for Dem support. When they were in the majority, they pulled out all the stops to pass exactly what they wanted. That resulted in better execution of their policies. You don't have to like their policies, but they executed them great.

I think the Dems have better vision, but their execution is so darn piss poor. They spend more time compromising with all the people that are trying to obstruct progress, rather than just going for what they want with their super majority, or failing that using reconciliation to get what they want. It's silly and amateurish.

I learned in business long ago that most of the time it's more important to be ruthlessly exceptional at execution of an idea, rather than to have the very best idea. That is the difference between the GOP and Dems. The Dems need to learn a thing or two from the GOP. In the mean time, they will continue to disappoint me. Where's my renewable energy legislation?
