Yeah, it's really nothing more than intimidation. Everyone knows that Americans have a deep rooted fear and hate of socialism and communism. So if you call the Dems that repeatedly, then like all good propaganda, people start believing it eventually, even though it is patently false. I use the term in connection with Ds because the Ds, in large part, support a socialist agenda. That's it. From the wikipedia entry, which I'll stipulate is an acceptable definition -- "Socialism refers to the various theories of economic organization advocating public or direct worker ownership and administration of the means of production and allocation of resources, and a society characterized by equal access to resources for all individuals with a method of compensation based on the amount of labor expended. So, a liberal democrat president comes along and either takes over, or ATTEMPTS to take over, or GIVES HUGE INTERESTS TO THE UNIONS, in the auto industry, the banking industry, the insurance industry, and tries to take over the health care industry. That's a substantial move toward socialism. You can call it something else from now on. But you see the definition. The only real difference is that nobody cares about the amount of labor expended; Obama will give MY MONEY to people who sit at home watching Oprah -- without giving another thought. Most socialists share the view that capitalism unfairly concentrates power and wealth among a small segment of society that controls capital and derives its wealth through exploitation, creates an unequal society, does not provide equal opportunities for everyone to maximise their potential... Which part of the above paragraph is inconsistent with Obama's, and the other left wing nutjob's, view?
