I understand the definition, but the problem with the GOP calling the Dems socialist, is that it's the pot calling the kettle black. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Bush and the majority GOP in power in Congress that passed the largest expansion of Medicare in recent memory? And isn't that one of the hallmark socialist programs this country has?

So again, I find it somewhat hypocritical. Everything the GOP accuses the Dems of being or doing is something the GOP has done itself whether its socialism or fiscal profligacy.
