This election was lost during the primary. Unfortunately, Capuano was busy making law in DC so he was unable to do much in person campaigning instead doing a few teleconferenced town halls and delegating much of his campaigning to his wife and sons. It's certainly not the all of why she lost but it resonated with how I felt after he lost in the primary. I've known of Capuano for a couple of decades---my late husband worked himself to the ground to get him in office. Great guy, smart...excellent rapport with people. Dems have lots to learn...but why is it even the nuts and bolts that they're getting wrong these days?
