Obama and health care reform (HCR) has frustrated me so much...

Obama's version of HCR was terrible -- it was WAY, WAY too complicated, too watered down by corporate interests, and it wasn't explained well at all...Obama never made passing universal health care coverage as a moral imperative for our country...and our president turned the debate and direction of HCR over to the Congress during the summer -- big, big mistake...Define what you're trying to offer OR it will be defined by your opponents. Now, Obama has wasted almost a year on HCR and he's used up precious political capital...and we don't see any real results...and the version of the bill Obama and Rahm Emmanuel were trying to ram through CONgress has a mandate (which Obama campaigned against - no citizen should be forced to buy health insurance)...It also doesn't really control cost well...And it's totally ASS Backwards to tax health care plans to try and pay for "reform"...You punish those that have good health care coverage...Tax ONLY based on income or don't do it at all.

I think Obama will have to take a few small elements of HCR that he can pass as a separate bill in the next few months (like getting rid of the pre-existing condition problem)...but the president has wasted so much time on HCR and he's just frustrated all the stakeholders involved...a strong leader would not let that happen...Obama has to lead more effectively and it's clear he needs some new advisors (wouldn't it be nice to have real progressives advising the president rather than those who always sell out to corporate interests).
