Hi Ditchdigger:

Martin Midstream Partners L.P. (NasdaqGS: MMLP )

I never picked up some share in MMLP based on your suggestion that I might be interested in their fertilizer (ie sulfur) business segment. I was concerned about their large amount of debt but liked that the company was expanding this side of their business. It must be working out as the MLP is up over 20% since you mentioned it. I am anxious to see their next report to see what their fertilizer business added to their cash flow and earnings. It's still on my radar screen but wanted to thank you for pointing out this side of their business.

FWIW, I own Seadrill (SDRL) but am not as positive as you. Maybe because I bought my position at current levels rather than 25% lower when it sold off late last year. I continue to hold my shares but may sell after the next dividend solely because I can buy more shares at a lower price when/if we see another market correction.

I like your above board insight into the E&P industry so keep on posting your observation especially for those company's that are doing a good job and can continue to increase their dividends to shareholders.

EKS

Martin Midstream Partners ( MMLP) declares $0.77/share quarterly dividend, 1.0% increase from prior dividend of $0.7625. For shareholders of record Nov. 7. Payable Nov. 14.

Not much, but better than a poke in the eye:) If this slow distribution growth continues, I am going to jettison this one. I do like the yield, which is why I am giving it time.
