They Still Don’t Get It Apparently, Bob Herbert doesn't get the paradox that Americans keep putting out in polls. Americans want the economy righted and jobs created but they also want the deficit reduced. Its very difficult to do both simimultaneously. Americans want their cake and eat it too......it just ain't go to happen right now. As for health care reform, yes, the chronism still exists in Congress. Old habits are hard to break. Hopefully, they got the message with the MA election. If not, a lot of incumbents will be out of a job come November.
