Yes, it has flown by....I think the world tilted after 9-11...everything seems different now. In a way, it was the same as after JFK was killed....it NEVER occurred to me, nor to most of us, that even if you didn't agree with a President, anyone would be stupid enough to kill him.

We've never been to MD, and I'd like very much to visit there...A couple of years ago, we went back for the BIG college reunion for my husband in Troy NY, then up to Maine, stayed several days there in 3 lovely places and several sidebar trips including Portland and Kennybunkport and environs, then to Newport RI and stayed a few days, with a day trip to Mystic, CT, then to Boston and the area. Loved the entire trip, and would do it again in a heart beat. Just need more money and to take the time.

We had one of the very best family vacations at Ocean City when the kids were young. We liked it so much we stayed a couple of extra days. It was mid-summer and the beach was great. We thought the city was wasting much money trucking all of that sand in and spreading it along the beach with giant bull dozers where it had eroded, but we understand those beaches are those little town's bread and butter. There were lots of activities going on on the board walk. The boys especially liked the miniature army tanks. We spent a fortune, but they just couldn't get enough and so like good parents, we gave in and kept buying them tickets. Around and around they would go playing army with helmets and flak jackets. They'll never forget that. And ohhhhhhhhh the pizza. Haven't been able to find real pizza out here on the west coast....not at all like the pizza of NY, NJ, or MD.

Of course they'll never forget the fishing trip out on the party boat where everyone was just pulling in fish right and left. They came back with the biggest smiles on their faces. We visited the east coast a lot back then, but haven't been back in years.

Wonderful place to visit.
