Corporate America is not interested in what is good for America it is interested in what is good for itself.

I just think that as Seminole pointed out, this ruling is probably not as scary as might appear. While I agree that corporate america is most interested in what is good for itself, generally speaking what is good for America is good for a corporation.

Using energy conservation as an example, corp. America will indeed resist blanket legislation. But corp. america is very interested in conserving, i.e. reducing its own energy needs thereby saving money in the process. It also benefits if consumers spend less on energy, thus leaving more for discretionary spending. I believe the interests of the corporation will generally and naturally align with the interests of a the country most of the time.
