tek, What Rick Ackerman says makes a lot of sense to me. BTW, is that guy a Gold buff? I always take Gold buffs' negative comments on stock market with a grain of salt.
Are you sure you did not write the article on ForEx/$ related trading, in today's WSJ (Section C.) It essentially is an extension of what you posted here earlier. Man, you are way ahead of many in this game. We are lucky to see your insights on the SI.

tek, the "decoupling of bonds and stocks" over the last couple of sessions (bonds down and stocks up) seems to have created a notion that people are selling bonds to buy stocks. Given today's action, (bond yield up 3.9 basis point and the stocks are still down, though marginally, it doesn't seem that way to me. The volume is considerably slow (NYSE, -15 on vol ~360 mil. Naz flat with 400 mil.) Any thoughts?

Tekgk, I liked your analysis of the Central Bank's actions and moneyflow in general. I have a question about your recent statement that 3-5 billion a month going into the market was a result of buybacks.

If the net stock buybacks were translated into dividends, what would the dividend ratio be? What if we factored in a +30% bonus for the tax benefits?

Or, even better, what numbers should I look up so that I can figure this out myself? I hate asking other people to do what I should be doing.

I'm just trying to get a handle on the numbers I hear being thrown around, especially about the low dividends being returned.

Thanks.
