technically amat about to move up.stoi up;w%r-very bullish move;candles positive;macd just gave the buy sign today.probable move is to 41 by friday.if macd crosses above the baseline,it could go higher.should move a few bucks up tomorrow, probably gap up at the opening.of course technical factors can be affacted by 1)asia 2)sadam husein.actually many big, high volume stocks are giving similar pictures technically, but i like amat because of the large drop from 50 to 30,and the fact that book to bill problem was overblown.assuming a usual 50% retrace,40 is the key resistance area.

Interesting comments about CSCO. I learned much about how most investors on these threads think during market drops when CSCO tanked in the spring. Virtually no one would listen to those singing CSCO's praises, even while CSCO's management kept reassuring investors growth was on track. Then, the bears defended their position by saying "it will come back down", or "it was only a good trade," not a good investment. CSCO is demolishing their competition.

Regardless of what happens in the next 6 months with AMAT, an individual buying now will have an excellent return over the next 3-4 years. Why anyone needs to know more than that I will never know.
