To All -

I apologize for the late data of the last few weeks. In all the time we've been using these people, it's never been so bad.

Our priorities have been in getting release 2 converted to a 32 bit version. That process is nearly complete now. We should be able to ship a 32 bit beta in a few weeks.

The scan syntax has been changed to require a semicolon as a terminator character. This change fixed all of the white space problems in the syntax. The if then else statements can be nested now.

We went back to using ctree as the database engine. It is much faster and the files are more compact than the xbase engine that went out with the 16 bit version. Some of the data structures have been changed to eliminate redundant instructions and to speed up the disk accesses.

You will see a vast improvement in scan times especially if you can place the data files across 2 different drives.

Getting the early data feed will now become a high priority item here.

Thanks,

Gary
