I guess he has so much problem with a decade of profligacy that he wants to extend it to two decades...

If Obama's really changed (which seems very unlikely) than great, we can all get behind his effort for real spending restraint. But he has no credibility here. He was a senator at the end of that decade he talked about and he didn't fight for spending restraint.

He's talked about Bush spending too much, than he spends more and projects spending still more in the future. He puts his energy in to blaming Republicans, and pushing for new government spending, than he talks about how much the Republicans have spent. Let him actually make some serious spending cuts first, than maybe he can talk about about a decade of profligacy...
