Re: "...this is not going to work." WHAT is 'not going to work'????????????????? A) The President's partial budget freeze of discressionary budget items? (With more promised for next year....) B) Or the just voted down bi-partisan Deficit Reform Commission (which the President has been forced to reconstitute in a weaker form by mere Presidential decree, but shorn of it's guarantee of a straight vote up or down in the Congress)? C) Or the President forcing Congress (and, yes, the members of his own bunch too who were not so 'in favor' of it) to pass the budgeting reform known as "Pay-As-You-Go"? ---------------------------------------- I would STIPULATE up-front that EACH of these things are but small and partial steps, (much more will need to be done in coming years!)... but they ARE progress in the right direction... and they are more then was done in any of Bush's two terms....
