Profits you were off by 3 quarters, not 1, and VIA has yet
to show a AGP chipset that works in 2x mode. Seeing as 2x mode has
a bug, what else doesn't work in 2x mode? How would you know if the
first bug is blocking others? You may only fix the first in order to
see the second, third and so on. AMD will be there in Q298? Based
on what? Their track record? An AGP chipset is the most complicated
to date. What has AMD ever shipped? What kind of validation suite
do they have? As for socket7 offering the same level of performance
as the slot1/AGP solution, we'll just have to wait until someone gets
a socket7 chipset working won't we <ggg>. I don't think socket7 will
be close. Time will tell.
