Prop 13 was stupid to anyone who takes the time to look at the entire social system California has in place.

Poor guy. Has a 1.5 million house paid off (and pays little tax I guess) and if prop 13 was repealed he would have to pay some taxes on it. That means he is a millionair able to hide his tax bill.

California can either have an intelligent tax structure and social system, or prop 13. It is seldom smart to box oneself into a corner like they did with prop 13.

People want social systems and do to want to pay for them; and have no idea what the actual costs are. Well, until they have a heart attack and then they want trained paramedicas there in 8 minutes to save their life. Wonder where that ambulance, 9/11 number and trained paramedics came from??

I have watced that disconect for 40 years. And the less people care about other people or their society, but only their money, the less rational they are about taxes.
