Why would you have that kind of faith in a mutual fund company? Lots of people have lost a ton of money in mutual funds in the last couple of years. There's no guarantee it's coming back.

Simple. Every problem you bring to me, I can solve, when it comes to privatizing social security.

And why do you want to do it so badly? Why on earth would you want to introduce risk to a safety net? I can see doing it with one's 401(k), but a mutual fund can not guarantee a minimum.
