I agree with you about the MRI.

With regards to India, I have been out of touch for a while. From what I know with regards to years in the past dating to 15 to 20 years ago, they are regulated much less than it is here in the US. while less regulation is better for the patient as it provides doctors the flexibility to provide the necessary care, it also has resulted and could result in events that are harmful to patients.

When my sister had her appendectomy some 20 years ago, they had left some gauge inside which she had to remove here in the US. It is not my intent to frighten folks but just want to caution them in that they need to be very intimately involved when they go looking for services in such countries. However, I find the Indian doctors far superior in their skills to those here in the US including he Indo-American doctors.
