They just have to go through the requisite education and pass the licensing tests.

And that is very restricted. The object of all of these "professions" is to keep people out of them.

Hey, when I was making and selling cabinets I would have been in favor of keeping others out of the business. And they did. By trying to "license" everyone who made any.

I had a general contractors license. If you put a hammer in my hand I would probably have hit my thumb. But some bureaucrat in Sacramento would tell people I was licensed to build them anything.

Yes, I know I am talking "perfect world." But don't think just because a Doctor has a license on his wall that he is a good Doctor. In fact, it protects the bad ones.
