My friend, it takes two hands to clap. The animosity that we see between the two parties in Congress is the outcome of hostility by both parties. It needs to stop and the Democrats squandered that away when they had a cloture proof majority and a President who gently prodded them to move to the center so as to accomodate the Republicans. It is sad and frightening that the Republicans are poised to oppose anything and everything that t he Democrats try to bring to the floor. It is now time for the President to step in and be very assertive with both the parties. If they fail, then the people should be ready for the massacre at the 2010 polls. Just boot out the incumbents and send them packing.
