Very interesting article.

Between the lines it shows just how tight Apple is with it's supply chain.

An official at a South Korean supplier who said he has participated in Apple projects complained that the company sometimes makes unreasonable requests.

Translation: "We don't make enough money and sometimes we lose contracts to more efficient suppliers. Apple is tight!"

I think few people consider just how good Apple is at keeping their costs down and keeping that profit margin up.

I love the fact they wait until the last minute to line up some parts. Obviously they've figured out what they can buy cheap in advance and what is better to buy extremely short term.
