Hi Richard. I have heard it compared to the early 70's, 1929, and 1987. My own feeling is that I identify with what Bobby says is happening to working class America\Canada (rats in a maze, running faster and faster, going nowhere). I cannot get a post out of my head that I read and posted here a few days ago by a former Brazillian central banker. In general he said that every gain made by North American companies over the last number of years by downsizing, tech change, productivity gains, etc, has been wiped out in a period of a few months by the devaluations of Asian currencies. Question is, what now? Do we start the madness all over again? Or do we revert to protectionism?
