An attack on Iran would be one sure way to ensure that the U.S. economy falters. Who knows where the price of oil would spike to? It would all depend on Iran's response. It could also spiral into a larger war involving Israel.

I read that Israel requested Bush approve an attack on Iran late in his Presidency (as any attack by Israel would require use of U.S. airspace over Iraq and U.S. support), and Bush said No. It would be ironic (in a bad way) if our "progressive" President said Yes to attack Iran. I am getting the feeling that it is going to happen this year. It all depends on how close Iran is to getting a nuke.
