What language do they use in Argentina? <"Britain should sit down and have a dialogue about sovereignty to overcome this anachronistic colonial situation," Taiana said from Mexico where he was preparing for a Rio Group summit. > It seems to be a colonial language.

When is Spain handing back Argentina to the locals to relieve the anachronistic colonial situation?

On the continental shelf argument, Great Britain, or the United Kingdom, could claim Argentina? Interesting. Great Britain should require any shipping traveling over their south American continental shelf to report to Stanley or maybe directly to London for permission.

<Argentina says that its "jurisdictional waters" are up to 200 nautical miles (370 kilometers, 230 miles) off its coast.

The Falkland Islands lie 450 kilometers from the Argentine coast or mainland, beyond the 200-nautical mile limit but within a continental shelf area that Argentina claimed in a UN submission last year.

Europe lies on the continental shelf owned by UK but that doesn't mean that Britain owns France.

Just because the island that Argentina is on has a greater area than the Falkland Islands doesn't mean Argentina owns the smaller island. We have more land than our neighbours, but that doesn't mean we own their property, even though it's on the same continental shelf.
