I'm new to this thread but have held stock in Arakis for almost a year. The news release you posted concerned me. Will this hurt the company since any U.S. sanctions sound terrible? Since this is a Canadian company does this type of U.S. intervention matter? Or, does it actually help since the threat of terrorism may be reduced?

<< President Bill Clinton on Monday signed an
executive order under the International Emergency Powers Act...

State Department spokesman James Rubin said the
administration hoped its pre-emptive move would make it
unnecessary for Congress to legislate sanctions >>

The only silver lining that I can see here is that the president imposed these sanctions on his own authority. When he is ready to, he will be able to drop the sanctions without having to jump through any congressional hoops. But when will he be ready to drop the sanctions?
What will it take to satisfy him?
