Smokers don't have an intrinsic right to pollute the air people breathe.

Geez smokers are bad but everybody driving alone in their cars polluting or dumping tons of toxic waste into landfills is ok?

I have a mother and I for one don't need somebody to tell me what is or isn't ok. I don't need the Government or some indignant person telling me that my behavior is a violation of their right to do the opposite.

Apple deciding not to sell crap apps is not the issue as they state clearly their stance on porn. My problem is they make the choice what to or not to sell and there are still plenty of totally crap apps in the store.

How many fart apps do we need?

Actually, they do, except where forbidden, by law.

I just ask them politely to move downwind. Or I move upwind.

Having once been a smoker, I just move upwind and let them enjoy their smoke. Healthy exercise for my heart. (g)

<rant>On that note, I find it absolutely unacceptable that smokers do not have a place to smoke in most US airports. Given the amount of tax they have paid to smoke, they should be afforded at least a closed in, ventilated pen - like in Amsterdam - where to practice their disability. Which reminds me: why have not smokers launched a disability class action lawsuit against airports? Smoking is a disability, like being in a wheel chair. There should be facilities for disability stricken smokers as well.</rant>

I completely agree, I hate smoke myself. I was asking the question of FUBHO to see how easily offended he gets in certain public situations.
