SP,

Search should be a basic function IMO.
Not only that, but being able to highlight and add comments (sticky notes) would be as great too.

One month to go.

That is exactly what I thought. People in technical jobs can carry one thin book and have a library at their fingertips AND search.

If the books can be journaled then you could search ALL of them at the same time.

This has to be a huge time saver for a lot of people.

Search is why I don't like podcasts very much. I'd rather get my news via text than video. I try to watch PBS news now and I'm too impatient...

GET TO THE POINT!... My time is valuable.

I hope Apple's iBook reader has search functions.

I'd bet dollars to donuts it will have search capabilities.

You and me both! I am buried in technical books. I sure hope there is not only search, but also the ability to have many books open and an easy way to quickly jump to any of them. It would be neat to have a multi-book search open all of the books that have the found search text and then be able to one-touch select any of the books to look at randomly - maybe with a touch tab for each book.

I hope Apple's iBook reader has search functions.

I hope this feature is extended to Safari on Apple's mobile devices well. Currently, there is no way to search for a phrase or word on a web page. Very annoying :(
