That level of concentration isn't all that rare. How many manufacturers of large jet liners are there?

Also to the extent competition is low enough to be a problem, it became that way in the context of an increasingly regulated industry, and in the context of discussions about adding a lot more regulation. Perhaps piling on more regulation and government control isn't the answer.
