I sent an email to Peter Welsch, my Congresscritter, pointing out that if the House votes for the Senate health care bill, Obama will have his health care legislation to sign in all its glory: without public option but with 'Cadillac plan' tax, Cornhusker Kickback, Louisiana Purchase, Gatorade Giveaway and half a trillion in Medicare cuts. I said, we know Obama doesn't care what's in the bill. Do you?

If the House votes for the Senate bill, the Senate bill is what we are all going to get. It's absurd to think that the Senate will then pass a bunch of reconciliation fixes that they don't like themselves, and for which they will take a huge amount of abuse, just to please the House. Why should they? Obama will already have his health care bill signing ceremony, which is all he cares about.
