Half a trillion in Medicare cuts? That may be an equivalent of cutting out Medicare altogether. I doubt it would survive... the beneficiaries would have to buy a ton of additional private policies - to cover the Newer Bigger Medigap.

That said, more likely the cuts will simply serve to make the total "healthcare" numbers appear more moderate.... and once the scheme is in place, they'll rescind the cuts.

Why turn off voters if you can turn up the printing press?

The intent of those who hate democracy is to rewrite the bill and use a Parliamentary trick designed to allow budget reductions to pass without having to overcome cloture.

I sent an email to my Senator who might support the destruction of the American healthcare system. Perhaps he will listen for a change.
