<<I disagree. I will be eligible for Medicare some years down the road, and I fully intend to sign up.>>

If you are going to sign up for socialized medicine when 65... Why does socialized medicine not make sense before age 65?

<<They made sure that I always paid them every dime they said I owed them. If they want me to walk away, let them buy me out -- pay me back what I paid, plus interest, at the prevailing rate>>

Why would your government want you to walk away? You have paid in and you are entitled...just like citizens of countries with socialized medicine pay in all their lives, according to their means determined through tax system, are entitled, all their lives.

Anyone that rails away about the evils of a system for their adult life and then reverses direction because of 65 birthday, as Regan...is a hypocrite... a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings..Many repubs become hypocrites on 65 Birthday..lol

The great RR probably had the means to pay for all his medical care until his death at age 93,if he exemplified truth to his beliefs, but poor Nancy might be on the street right now.
