Technically it might not be ad hominem. Its only ad-hominem if it state or implies that you're wrong, or that your arguments should be totally or mostly discounted, because of who you are (or are inaccurately claimed to be).

"Sally works for an insurance company" - Neither insult nor ad-hominem (except when the context of the statement indicates they are implying something like the statement about Sally below)
