I guess the GOP doesn't really like the impending outcome. :) I think the GOP is thinking two things: 1) if health care passes, then it will increase entitlements and deficits and 2) if health care passes, their chances in Nov go down, because Americans only remember success and what they get out of the deal. Every American loves their entitlements, but no American wants an increase in taxes or a decrease in other spending in order to be able to afford it.

So the GOP is getting really antsy. The Dems are going to pass health care and it's not good for GOP prospects in November. Here's my take on the Dem situation, though. If as we all suspect, this health care bill increases the deficits over the next 2 years, then Obama may find himself unelectable in 2012 and the Dems could lose power in Congress over the long run as well, even though in Nov they may not be impacted.

Once this economic crisis is past, Americans are going to be laser focused on that horrible debt and the unsustainable deficits. Already, many folks are scared shitless about what it portends for the future growth of our economy and the standard of living for our children.
