My reply: If you expect politicians to be IN FAVOR of cutting their own throats by deliberately toppling the nation into massive Depressions (just so they can maybe look right in some history book that might be written in 50 or 100 years), then I suggest that your expectation will ever be in vain. And, I suggest that the most PRUDENT and COST/EFFECTIVE thing we can be doing, (indeed... the 'smart' action), is to be busy about the task of REFORMING THE SYSTEM to change the current circumstances that produce this "too big to be allowed to fail" effect and it's "Private Profits with Socialized Losses" resultant. Because we are living in one of the the worst of possible economic models with Private Profits / Socialized Losses and the very next time it bites us in the asses it will be EVEN WORSE.
